The case: On March 11, 2025, Cotter Ashlock, a recently paroled member of the Ashlock crime family was allegedly abducted and imprisoned in the Corleone residence of private detective Nova Wölff. Ashlock claims that Nova Wölff threatened them with a knife while questioning them about protected federal witness Jay Kuang. Wölff denied the allegations, asserting that Ashlock violated the parole and Wölff exercised their right as a citizen to restrain Ashlock until the police arrived. The State of Tilly has charged Wölff with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and interfering with an officer.
